Rainbow Montessori Preschool, Suttonians Rugby Club, Station Road, Sutton, Dublin 13

Rainbow Montessori School Sutton was established by Mary Considine in 2003. Since then, the Montessori school has grown to be an integral part of life in the Sutton and surrounding areas. Rainbow Montessori Sutton is an accredited Montessori School situated at Suttonians Rugby Club, Station Road, Sutton, Dublin 13. We cater for children aged between 2 years 3 months to 5 years old. Our classes run Monday to Friday.
Our teachers are fully qualified in the Montessori Method of education, from St Nicholas Montessori College Dun Laoghaire and the Portobello Institute Dublin. We constantly attend refresher courses in Montessori education, First Aid (FAR), Fire Safety, Children’s First, Diversity-Equality and Inclusion, Healthy Smart and Manual Handling, all of which are compulsory in order to be certified with Tusla (HSE).
Every year, each child has the opportunity to take part in both a Christmas play and a graduation ceremony and numerous other events that parents and family members are welcome to attend. The children thoroughly enjoy these events and they are a highlight of our school year. Throughout the year, we also organise a school trip to a farm where the children can experience a day out with their class.
As part of our curriculum, we invite professionals to our school to give talks about their jobs. These include local Garda, Fire Brigade, and Dental nurse. We would also like to thank the parents who have come in to talk to the children in their uniforms about their exciting careers as doctors, nurses and pilots. Parents gave talks on France, England, Australia, SeaLife, Lifeboats and we even had a Viking Warrior this year! (Warning…be prepared for all the awkward questions that may be asked on the day!)
