Ashford Montessori is located in the centre of Ashford Village, Co. Wicklow beside the community centre and a 2 minute walk from the local national school. We offer 24 places and Partake in the free ECCE scheme and theCCSP scheme as well as private pupils.
We are a blended Montessori and preschool so have a wide variety of Montessori and play equipment and activities. We also have an outdoor area for play and physical activities. We cater for children aged 2 years 6 months – 5 years 6 months. Our teachers are all fully qualified with years of experience between us and our child-staff ratio is maximum 8 – 1.
We offer a home from home environment where the children learn and grow in a safe friendly environment which is child lead. The curriculum includes the emerging interests of the children which are in line with the Aistear Framework and Siolta guidelines. We have Monthly themes which help to improves children’s physical, emotional, intellectual, linguistic and social skills and we work at each individual child’s personal pace to ensure all children are given the opportunity to develop to their full potential. Our areas of learning are practical life, sensorial, maths, reading, writing, culture, science and nature, social-play, construction, PE, music and dance, cookery etc. We work in partnership with parents to create a warm supportive and educational environment for the children.
